Development of Polymeric Nanoparticles of Garcinia mangostana Xanthones in Eudragit RL100/RS100 for Anti-Colon Cancer Drug Delivery

Table 3

Effect of E-RL100 : E-RS100 ratio on the aqueous solubility and particle size of freeze-dried NPs. The NPs (20% drug loading) bulk solutions were freeze-dried with 1% (wt/v) sucrose and the resulting cakes were reconstituted in the same volume of water, vortexed for 1 min, and sonicated for 10 min, and the insoluble material was removed by centrifugation. The drug content in the supernatant was measured by UV spectrophotometry and the particle size was measured by photon correlation spectroscopy. The results are presented as average solubility (µg/mL) and average particle size (nm) ().
