Cryopreservation effect of glucose, glycerol, and sucrose. The bulk NPs solutions were freeze-dried with various concentrations of glucose, sucrose, and glycerol. The freeze-dried cakes were then reconstituted in the same volume of water, vortexed for 1 min, and sonicated for 10 min, the insoluble material was removed by centrifugation, and the concentration of the total xanthones in the supernatant was measured by UV spectrophotometry. The results are presented as average solubility (µg/mL).
