Aqueous Synthesis of ZnSe/ZnS-2-R-Benzothiazole Nanocrystals with White Emission

The fluorescence change of ZnSe/ZnS-2-R-benzothiazole NCs in the presence of variable volumes of 2-hydroxy-5-(2,5-dimethyl-thienyl)-phenyl-benzothiazole (2R-benzothiazole): (a) 0, (b) 0.1 mL, (c) 0.2 mL, (d) 0.3 mL, (e) 0.6 mL, (f) 0.8 mL, and (g) 1.0 mL for a fixed time interval of 5 min. All measurements were performed in a 50 mmol/L PBS buffer solution (pH = 7.4). The concentrations of ZnSe/ZnS NCs and 2-R-benzothiazole were 1 × 10−6 mol L−1 and 5 × 10−5 mol L−1, respectively. The excitation wavelength was 360 nm.
