Nanohybrids biosensor principle: Biotin molecules (red shapes) are attached to gold nanoplots and hybrid nanoparticles are linked to Streptavidin proteins (orange shape). The strong covalent bond between Streptavidin and Biotin provides the stabilization of the nanohybrids on the gold nanoplots.
