Schematic representation of a chemical vapour deposition tube furnace with a nebulizer. A catalyst reacts with a precursor in the atomization chamber and the reactants are then carried into the high temperature furnace by argon gas. Nucleation sites are formed by the nanoparticles from the catalyst for the growth of carbon nanotubes from the carbon source acetylene.
