(a) Effect of MNPs on biofilm formation of S. aureus and E. coli after 24 h of growth in the presence of variable concentrations of OA-MNPs and APTMS-MNPs. Values were represented as average percentage biofilm inhibition of independent triplicates as indicated by CV assay. (b) Effects of MNPs on preformed biofilm. S. aureus and E. coli were allowed to form biofilm and then treated with different concentrations of OA-MNPs and APTMS-MNPs. Amount of the remaining biofilm was determined using crystal violet assay method of three independent tests as indicated by CV assay.
