Environmental Applications of Nanomaterials

Description

The rapid growth of materials science and catalysis fields has led to major advances in nanomaterials synthesis and structure-properties application. The design and synthesis of novel nanomaterials allows for enhanced performance for environmental-related applications.

Corrosion is a major problem worldwide and causes material deterioration, wasting valuable resources, decreased productivity, and loss/contamination of the product. In certain conditions, alloys, stainless steel, and other materials can be corroded. It is important to protect our materials and devices from corrosion by applying appropriate methods. Therefore, all environmental problems, including temperature extremes or high wear, harsh corrosive conditions, and environmental emissions, can be solved by nanostructured materials and revolutionary techniques. The dissemination of knowledge is important to address the latest advances in nanomaterials and their applications.

This Special Issue invites original research and review articles dealing with new basic concepts, structures, experimental and applied aspects of nanomaterials or coatings in one or more of the following fields, but not limited to the following. We hope to give a platform for nanocomposites specialists, material engineers, and chemical engineers
