Association of Human Intestinal Microbiota with Lifestyle Activity, Adiposity, and Metabolic Profiles in Thai Children with Obesity

Beta-diversity of bacterial phylum (a), family (b), and genus (c) in obese and nonobese children. PCoA based on Bray–Curtis dissimilarity was performed with the observation showing no significant difference at the phylum level; however, there were significant differences in gut microbial community structure at the family and genus levels between obese and nonobese children ( and ). It should be noted that parts of these observations could be due to differences in sample processing and choice of hypervariable region between our study and previous works.
