Size comparison of silver nanoparticles produced in the absence (a) and presence (b) of ammonium nitrate. Image (a) presents an SEM image of silver nanoparticle (301 nm) without ammonium nitrate; and Image (b) is a TEM image of nanoparticles (17 nm) produced with ammonium nitrate present. Both the experiments were run at 10⁻¹ M (precursor concentration), 700^°C (operating temperature), and 8 W (atomizer power).
