Plots of primary resonance mode frequency versus time for three different self-assembled monolayers on template-stripped gold: (a) methyl-terminated alkanethiol, (b) hydroxy-terminated alkanethiol, and (c) amino-terminated alkanethiol. For this dataset, the length of the nanotube was 5.63 μm long. The cantilever resonance frequency was 82.93 kHz and had a spring constant of 1.8 N/m.
