Talpha1 increased 9L cell sensitivity to oxidative stress and BCNU killing. 9L cells were seeded in 96-well plates. After overnight attachment and growth, cells were pretreated with 10 mM Talpha1 (Ta1) or vehicle. 12 hours later, the medium was changed and cells were treated with vehicle (control), 0.1 mM H2O2, Talpha1 only (Ta1), Talpha1+H2O2, BCNU (25 mM), or Talpha1+BCNU. Viability was measured in 12 replicate cultures using the crystal violet assay. The graph depicts the mean ± S.D. of results. Asterisks indicate significant differences from vehicle-treated control, H2O2-treated, and Talpha1-only treated cultures.
