In vitro examinations of anti-inflammatory and antioxidative abilities of Astragalus membranaceus, Angelica sinensis, and their combination. The anti-inflammatory function was evaluated by measuring the level of IL-1β (a), IL-6 (b), and TNF-α (c) in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. The DPPH scavenging (d), superoxide scavenging (e), and GSH production (f) assays were used to measure the antioxidative ability. AM, Astragalus membranaceus. AS, Angelica sinensis. DBT, the combination of AM and AS in a weight ratio of 5 : 1. between two groups.
