ROC analyses had been performed for (a) hypertension, (b) hypertriglyceridemia, (c) hypercholesterolemia, (d) metabolic syndrome, (e) hyperinsulinemia, (f) insulin resistance, (g) type 2 diabetes mellitus, (h) increased intima-media thickness (IMT), and (i) arteriosclerosis. Cut-points in maximal distance from the diagonal and the area under the curve [95% CI] were calculated as described in the statistical methods.
