Protective effect of Trx2 against oxidative stress. ARPE-Trx1, ARPE-Trx2, ARPE-pmCherry, and uninfected ARPE cells were exposed to 4-HNE or C2-ceramide. After 24 hours of incubation, cell viability was assessed using the MTS assay. Untreated ARPE cells were also analyzed and their number was defined as 100% survival.
