Investigation of PACAP Fragments and Related Peptides in Chronic Retinal Hypoperfusion

In contrast to PACAP 1-38 (c), the PACAP fragments (d–f) did not ameliorate the BCCAO-induced retinal degeneration. On the contrary, treatment with some fragments led to a more pronounced degeneration, which was shown by the width of the retinal layers and the neural profiles in the ONL and INL.
