1	1–30 dots
2	>30 dots without confluence
3	>30 dots with confluence, filament, or ulcer

Staining is represented by punctate dots on the cornea, the cornea is divided into four quadrants, and the total cornea staining score is represented by the total score of four cornea quadrants.
