Relationships between lymphangiogenesis and the degree of aggression in recurrent pterygia. Significant relationships were found between LMD and pterygium area in Grade 1 pterygia ((a); , ) and Grade 2 pterygia ((b); , ). In Grade 3 pterygia, in addition to a significant relationship between LMD and pterygium area ((c); , ), LVA was also significantly correlated with pterygium area ((d); , ).
