The mean higher-order aberrations (μm) of group 1 and group 2 before (preop) and six months (postop) after SMILE procedure. Although study groups had similar aberrations preoperatively, group 1 was associated with significantly higher induction of total HOAs, horizontal coma, vertical coma, and spherical aberrations than group 2 after SMILE procedure.
