DNA Methylation Status of the Interspersed Repetitive Sequences for LINE-1, Alu, HERV-E, and HERV-K in Trabeculectomy Specimens from Glaucoma Eyes

<div>Combined-bisulfite restriction analysis (COBRA) for HERV-K methylation patterns. The diagrams (a) demonstrate the following two patterns of methylated CpGs (from top to bottom): hypermethylation (<sup>m</sup>C<sup>m</sup>C) and hypomethylation (<sup>u</sup>C<sup>u</sup>C). Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (b) shows the locations for the bands for each pattern of methylated CpGs. Quantitative DNA ladder was used to assess the size of the bands. The representative gels of cell line and normal control samples are shown. Water is used as a negative control.</div>
