Diabetic neovascularization (NV) of the left eye of a 59-year-old patient with newly diagnosed proliferative diabetic retinopathy on both eyes, with the NV magnified equally (a, b). Initial imaging shows a densely interlaced vascular pattern of the NV with leakage (a) and follow-up imaging after four monthly anti-VEGF injections shows a regressed truncated vascular pattern of the NV without leakage (b), equivalent to column D in Figure 5.
