The Role of Intravitreal Anti-VEGF Agents in Rabbit Eye Model of Open-Globe Injury

Application of anti-VEGF agents significantly decreased vitreous levels of VEGF and other cytokines induced by OGI. (a) A single dose of anti-VEGF agents was given at 0.5 h, 3 d, or 7 d after OGI, vitreous samples were collected 7 days thereafter, and vitreous cytokines were analyzed by ELISA.
