Values within the red area merit consideration of treatment without the need for BMD, while those in the green area suggest that no further assessment (e.g., BMD) is necessary. Values in the orange area, around the IT, indicate that femoral neck BMD assessment and incorporation of the result into the FRAX calculation is warranted.
