(a) Growth of the chloroquine-susceptible P. falciparum strain NF54 in the presence of a diluted extract from Balanite seeds obtained from a 1 : 2000 ratio of seeds to extract. Parasites were grown in 12-well microculture trays. Triangles indicate parasitemias of the untreated NF54 control while rectangles indicate the drug-treated strain. Each point represents the mean value of four different determinations with ± standard deviations.
