Inflammation is decreased in the infected ears of VDRKO mice. C57BL/6 WT and VDRKO were infected in the ear with 10⁵  L. major parasites. Histological cross sections were H&E stained at the indicated time points and inflammation of the dermis was assessed visually by microscopy. One representative of 2 independent experiments is presented.
