Construction of Two mCherry Plasmids (pXG-mCherry) for Transgenic Leishmania: Valuable Tools for Future Molecular Analysis

Drug activity profile of L. major cell lines. Promastigotes were grown, as described in Materials and Methods, for 48 and 72 hours at 26°C in the presence of increasing drug concentrations. The 50% effective concentrations (EC50) were measured using an MTT-based assay and a FLUOstar Optima fluorimeter for WT and pXG-mCherry12 parasites. Results are expressed as mean (± standard error [SEM]) from three independent experiments.
