Agent-based navigation software architecture. The architecture of a single agent is structured in four hierarchical layers: DecisionMaking (DM), KnowledgeBase (KBase), Interaction and Communication. Local and remote sensor information is integrated into the knowledge base, and no distinction is made between them during motion planning.
