Concurrent Driving Method with Fast Scan Rate for Large Mutual Capacitance Touch Screens

TSC system implementation using FPGA board and AFE board connected with a commercial 23-inch touch screen panel. Touch points are transferred to PC using UART connection in order to display them using graphical user interface software. The chip used in AFE board for testing is fabricated on 0.18 µm CMOS TowerJazz process. It has all analog switches, sensing circuits, and digital logic for switches control. However FPGA board has ADC, DAC, and all control and processing logic.
