The number of signal cycles samples has to ensure that the resulting standard deviation is minimized. Figure A1 displays the standard deviation of the resulting averaged signal versus a different number of averaged cycles. As it can be observed, it shows lower values when less than 10 cyles are averaged: it is because for a few cycles, the deviation is not mathematically remarkable, but more than 10 cycles have to be taken into account to contain enough temporal information. It can be observed that devation reaches a minimun value for 30 averaged cycles, and it shows not a significant decrease for more cycles. Therefore, it was decided to average 30 cycles.
