Two traps deployed in the field for 2 months counting flies. (a) A light guide version as in [19] placed in an olive orchard: lat: 35.0735, lon: 24.8376. (b) A Fresnel type e-trap as suggested in this paper placed in an adjacent olive orchard (lat: 35.06574, lon: 24.827354). Both traps follow the dynamics of counts closely. The Fresnel version reports less false alarms and follows better the insect-count dynamics.
