Interaction between Age, Sex, and Mental Health Status as Precipitating Factors for Symptom Presentation in Concussed Individuals

Males in the age range of 13–15 with a diagnosis of depression showed a higher average of concussions (2x) than controls. Males in the 30–39 and 40+ age groups with a learning disability showed a higher average number of concussions (2x) than the control group.
