Position, Energy, and Transit Time Distributions in a Hemispherical Deflector Analyzer with Position Sensitive Detector

Calculated spot size on the detector plane (-plane) and corresponding time-energy distributions at the exit of the HDA for three different values of the HDA entry radius : (a) 82.55 mm, (b) 101.6 mm, and (c) 116 mm, and for a monoenergetic parallel beam: eV, , and keV. Simulations were performed for source extent: , 1.0, and 1.5 mm. Normalized line profiles resulting from vertical and horizontal projections of the electron distributions are also shown. The detector plane is assumed to coincide with the HDA exit plane.
