Effect of 24-Epi against MPP+-induced cytoxicity in neuronal PC12 cells, as measured by colorimetric assay based on LDH activity. Neuronal cells were pretreated with 24-Epi (10−9 M) or vehicle for 3 h and then exposed to MPP+ (5 mM) or not for 24 h. The absorbance value obtained for the untreated control was subtracted from all other values, as described in Section 2. Data are expressed as percentages of values of untreated control cells and are means ± S.E.M. . versus Ctrl and versus MPP+.
