Synergistic Effect of Quercetin and α-Lipoic Acid on Aluminium Chloride Induced Neurotoxicity in Rats

Figure 1

The effect of aluminium chloride, quercetin, and lipoic acid treatment on acetylcholine esterase activity in the brain of rats. Enzyme activity is expressed as nmoles of substrate hydrolyzed min−1 mg protein−1 in the brain of rats. Significant as compared to control group of rats (). Significant as compared to control group of rats (). Significant as compared to control group of rats (). Significant as compared to AlCl3 treated group of rats (). Comparison between the groups was done using Dunnett’s multiple comparison test.
