Antimalarial activity of Tinospora baenzigeri against Plasmodium berghei-infected mice. Groups of mice (5 mice of each) were inoculated with 1 × 107 parasitized erythrocytes of PbANKA by IP injection. They were then administered orally by gavage with 100, 250, and 500 mg/kg of extract once a day for 4 consecutive days. Parasitemia was then determined by microscopic analysis of Giemsa-stained thin blood smear. , , and , compared to the untreated group.
