Salmonella spp. and beta-lactam resistance genes are diagnostic. PCR amplification of the (a) ompC (representative), the (b–c) β-lactam resistance genes bla_TEM and bla_SHV are found in Salmonella spp. Electrophoresis was carried out on a 1.5% agarose gel. Lane L 100 bp DNA ladder, lane P for positive control, and lane N for negative control. Samples were run on a 1.5% TAE agarose gel.
