Expression of Vα14 Jα281 on iNKT cells. Mouse iNKT cells express a TCRαβ that utilizes invariant Vα14 and Jα281 gene segments. RT-PCR using specific primers showed that lines 1F1, 1F1.1 subderived line of 1F1 and 2D11, all expressed Vα14Jα281 region, whereas a standard CD4+ T cell clone was negative for this expression. The 443 bp amplicon was separated on a 2% agarose gel.
