Modulatory effect of glutamate on T3-induced inhibition of synaptosomal Na+-K+-ATPase activity in cerebral cortex, in vitro. A higher dose of T3 (10 nM) was chosen from the T3 dose-response curve, considering its greater inhibitory action on the Na+-K+-ATPase activity and to observe the effect of 100 μM glutamate on this T3-induced inhibition. The data are represented as mean ± SEM of four separate experiments taking six animals in each group. , compared to the control group (one-way ANOVA followed by Newman-Keuls test).
