Colony forming capacity of the cells after VPA treatment. Papillary (a) and anaplastic (b) cells were seeded in 6-well plate, and after attachment for 3 h, cells were treated with 0.1 and 1 mmol/L of VPA for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks colonies were fixed with glutaraldehyde (6.0%, v/v), stained with crystal violet (0.5% w/v) and the number of colonies with at least 50 cells was counted. (c) Each data is expressed as mean of colony forming cells ± SD. Statistically different values of ^∗𝑃<0.05, ^∗∗𝑃<0.01, and ^∗∗∗𝑃<0.001 were determined significantly compared with the corresponding control.
