Effects of polymyxin B on LP or LPS-induced TNF-𝛼 production in THP-1 cells. LP or LPS was pretreated by 100 μg/mL polymyxin B (PB) for 2 hours before challenging THP-1 cells. LP (3 𝜇g/mL) or LPS (100 ng/mL) was added to the medium. After being incubated for 24 hours, cells were harvested, and the concentration of TNF-𝛼 in the medium was determined by ELISA as described in Section 2.
