Class B INH-ODN 2114 can undergo G4-stacking in the presence of potassium ions. INH-ODN 2114 (1 μg) was dissolved in a buffer containing potassium ions at 65 degrees for 10 minutes and then slowly cooled down to room temperature for 2 hours. For comparison, the same ODN was dissolved in Tris-EDTA, boiled for 10 minutes and rapidly cooled on ice. Electrophoretic mobility on 20% native PAGE gel is shown. Gel was stained with Stains All overnight.
