LPS Counter Regulates RNA Expression of Extracellular Proteases and Their Inhibitors in Murine Macrophages

The RNA encoding plasminogen activators are downregulated while their inhibitors are upregulated. (a) Six hours following LPS stimulation, RAW 264.7 cells downregulated the expression of genes encoding the two main Plg activators, tPA and uPA. (b) In contrast to the decreased expression of Plat and Plau, the expression of the two tPA and uPA inhibitors, Pai-1 and Pai-2, was increased by up to 16 folds.
