Effect of ethyl pyruvate on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury. The I/R and sham-operated mice were pretreated with ethyl pyruvate (20 mg/kg, 40 mg/kg, and 80 mg/kg) or saline. Mice were sacrificed 4 h, 8 h, and 16 h after reperfusion. The serum ALT and AST levels were assayed, shown in (a).
