Palmitic Acid Induces Production of Proinflammatory Cytokines Interleukin-6, Interleukin-1 , and Tumor Necrosis Factor- via a NF- B-Dependent Mechanism in HaCaT Keratinocytes

Figure 6

PA induces activation of p-Stat3 (Tyr705) in HaCaT cells measured by western blotting. Keratinocytes were untreated or treated with PA (75, 100, 125, and 150 μmol/L) for 24 hours under serum-free conditions. The cells were harvested, and nuclear extracts were analyzed with p-Stat3 and total Stat3 by western blot immediately after the treatment (a) and 24 hours after the PA depletion (b). The densitometry values are means ± SD of three independent experiments (c). Asterisks (*) indicate significant differences of , respectively, between the PA-treated groups and nontreated group.
