FSTL1 induces the expression of proinflammatory mediators in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with increasing dose of recombinant mouse FSTL1 (0, 50, 100, and 200 ng/mL) for 24 h. mRNA expressions of IL-6 (a), TNF-𝛼 (b), and MCP-1 (c) were evaluated by quantitative RT-PCR. Relative gene expression levels were normalized to β-actin and expressed as fold of control. Data are mean ± SE; 𝑛=3. *𝑃<0.05 versus control.
