Inflammatory Mediator Profiling Reveals Immune Properties of Chemotactic Gradients and Macrophage Mediator Production Inhibition during Thioglycollate Elicited Peritoneal Inflammation

Concentration changes of 23 inflammatory mediators in peritoneal exudates and blood during thioglycollate treatment in vivo. C57BL/6 mice (males) were treated with thioglycollate as described in Section 2. At three timepoints, before (day 0) and after (day 1 and 3) the treatment, peritoneal exudates and plasma were isolated as described in Section 2. The concentrations of 23 inflammatory mediators were determined by a bead-based multiplexing immunoassay as described in Section 2. Values are represented as the means ± SE. –8 per timepoint. Data are from two independent experiments. *Denotes that the mediator was undetectable at the indicated timepoint.
