Effects of DEC on carrageenan-induced IL-1β expression in the lung. Basal expression of IL-1β was detected in lung samples obtained from the sham group, whereas levels of IL-1β were significantly increased in the lung tissue from animals 4 hours after injection of carrageenan. Treatment with DEC and INDO reduced the expression of IL-1β in comparison to the CAR group.
