(a) Genetic ablation of Fn14 in Fn14 mice protected from progressive deterioration of left ventricular function after MI. Overall this resulted in improved survival after MI ( ; for each group for survival analysis). (b) Fn14 mice also demonstrated reduced phosphorylation of p65. In addition upregulation of PGC-1α compared to wildtype littermates (Fn14 +/+) was also observed ( for Fn14 +/+ and for Fn14 for molecular analysis).
