Interleukin (IL)-8 release from lung epithelial cells A549 after IL-1beta (a) or lipopolysaccharide (LPS (b)) stimulation. Cells were stimulated with IL-1beta or LPS in indicated concentrations for different intervals (incubation time indicated below the -axis). After the incubation periods, supernatants were analyzed for IL-8 concentrations.
