Purine-Metabolizing Ectoenzymes Control IL-8 Production in Human Colon HT-29 Cells

NTPDase2 and ADK modulate IL-8 production in HT-29 cells. HT-29 cells were stimulated for 18 h with suboptimal concentration of poly (I:C) in combination with ATP, ADP, or the nonhydrolyzable ATP analog, ATP-γ-S, in the presence or absence of the ADK inhibitor, Ap5A. The cell supernatants were then analyzed for IL-8 by ELISA ( ).
