IL-27 Activates Human Trophoblasts to Express IP-10 and IL-6: Implications in the Immunopathophysiology of Preeclampsia

IL-27 and TNF-α synergistically potentiated the production of CXCL10 and IL-6 in HTR-8/SVneo. CXCL10 and IL-6 protein levels were detected by ELISA after being stimulated with cytokines. The dose for TNF-α and IFN-γ was 20 ng/mL and for other cytokines was 50 ng/mL. Results are expressed as the arithmetic mean plus SD of three independent experiments. **𝑃<0.01 and ***𝑃<0.001 when compared between treatment group and control. ^###𝑃<0.001 when compared between combined treatment group and IL-27 stimulated group (𝑛=3).
